Babies Part One. :D

June 4, 2008 at 3:57 am (My Babysitting.) (, , , , )

Well, if anyone has ever babysat in their entire life, then they know that the only thing that children REFUSE to do is sit. It’s a complete misnomer. Whoever decided to call it babysitting was laughing when he or she said that.

Here’s my situation. I’m being paid by my grandparents to babysit my absolutely ADORABLE little cousins. The problem, there is one of me, while there are three of them. One seven year old girl, and two five year old twin boys. The whole month of June, I have to care and watch after these children, with the help of my grandparents and my Uncle Tom and Aunt Bonnie for the first two weeks. See, their daddy (my uncle Richard) has to work, and so they have to stay here, in Florida. I don’t mind takng care of them, yet.

Day One

It wasn’t bad at all, really.

We got here really late. And all I had to do was take them to bed, and read Madison(the seven year old) a story. Something ABC, by Dr. Suess. Peice of cake.

Day Two

Still not so bad.

We ate breakfast, went swimming in the morning, ate lunch.

Then came hide and seek, which the twins absolutely loved. Again, not so bad, but wears you out. After that, we went swimming again. Which was fun. They got sort of cranky, tho. They were tired. So we had dinner, and went to bed. I read Madison the same story I read the night before, by her demand. After they were asleep, I went right to bed, so that I could be up the next morning, ready to help.

Didn’t work so well. I fell asleep, slept great. The kids, tho…not so much.

Thank goodness there were other people there.

Day Three

I woke up late, and everyone was up but me. Breakfast was pretty much taken car of. I didn’t get off to a good start, so I had tokind of step up my game. I played hide and seek with them all morning, and even I had fun. At around ten, we all went swimming again, and we swam for about an hour. That caused a fus for the young ones, because an hour is really five minutes when your enjoying yourself. When we ate lunch, Madison wouldn’t really eat. So Uncle Tom and Grandpa helped her learn that eating is the best choice. :)

Nap time was the best time. My mother and I went shopping at Baells for cute clothes. We actually found some, and spent some money. :)  When I got back, my grandmother and I went and got our hair cut. (Did you know that most conditioners are bad for your hair because they have wax? HOW CRAZY! And Tresseme has poli…I forget. But it’s bad. Look it up.) Well, that was a nice trip.

When we got back, the kids were up and moving. We had to feed them dinner, and we watched a quick flick. Then Cole and Christian decided beating me up was the current best form of entertainment. Well, no. It was bedtime. That’s how we roll here at this house. :) The weird thing is, I had to read Madison the same story again. Hmph.

So now I’m writing this blog. and signing off. 11.54 June 3.

I’m 4 serious, what a day/what days.

-Michelle.
