Sometimes I wonder…
Hmph.
As a cheerleader, there is never a time to take a break. Well, considering how I am babysitting this whole month, and we have camps and practices every other day, I’m taking a HUGE break.
In the state of GA, a cheerleading competition squad can have no more than 16 people competing. 18 people made our squad, so that leaves room for two alternates. I am not the best one on the team, but I am FAR from being the worst. The only reason I’m not one of the very best is because I cannot tumble (backhandsprings, tucks, layouts, etc.). Our squad just had a three-day, five hours a day camp. I learned all of the every section of the routine. I could do it with my eyes closed. But because I am here in Florida, I am stuck being an alternate. One girl and I, although good friends, are forced to compete for the same spot on the mat. My coach has known two other girls and me previously, because we were the only ones who were on the team last year. She absolutely loves all three of us, because last season we were basically a family. So she told me that if I worked really hard, I would get my spot back. I hope I can do it.
Well, I guess we’ll see when I get back, huh?
